The path around the reservoir is mostly paved with concrete slabs, so it's not a cyclist's dream... Fortunately, large sections are laid in such a way that there is a strip of bare earth/sand between the slabs in the middle, so you can stubbornly ride there, avoiding the slabs.

Dam in Łączany, about 20 kilometers from Krakow. It was built in the 1950s to facilitate water intake for the Skawina power plant. In addition, the dam serves flood protection purposes. A nice place on the route.

A superb cycle path which is, among other things, the EuroVelo 4 which crosses Poland. I realize that I can take it all the way to Krakow, my final destination, but the wind is blowing hard today and the path is elevated, so I am not at all sheltered from the wind. I decide to leave it further on to follow my initial itinerary.

Driving along the causeway, the route sometimes feels like driving through a park. The route looks quite picturesque, and that bridge along the way is a real eye-catcher. There are benches and information boards. I recommend it.
