The castle was built after 1340 by King Casimir the Great on Castle Hill, which overlooks the city, on the site of an older stronghold. The castle was built in the Gothic style. Only the pointed-arch entrance gate remains from this period. The castle was destroyed during the Wallachian invasion in 1498. After reconstruction between 1514 and 1553, the castle was thoroughly rebuilt and strengthened. Subsequently, it was rebuilt several more times. Today, the castle is open to the public. The castle courtyard displays relics of the rotunda and palace – structures dating back to the reign of Bolesław the Brave.

This church is called Cathedral of the Assumption of the Holy Virgin Mary and Saint John the Baptist in Przemyśl. That's a long time to say. From the middle of the 12th century a Romanesque rotunda appeared; then added a Gothic cathedral, partially destroyed and replaced by a Baroque cathedral built in the years 1724-1744. In 1733 the roof collapsed and was rebuilt in 1744. By visiting the church you will understand its entire eventful history.
