The path starts at the parking lot next to Galeria Portius and leads along Niepodległości Street towards the bridge over the Wisłok River, where it lowers and joins the path along the river. The beautiful, intense colors of the surface attract attention. Initially, only the red cyclist lane is visible, and from the bridge next to the red one you can see the yellow pedestrian lane. We will see whether the colors will remain the same over the next few years. WW

With a bit of luck, you can see black storks from the bridge, feeding in the shallow riverbed - I managed to see them in July in the early hours of the morning.

Aleksander grows in the area of a former river floodplain - a type of forest that belongs to endangered plant communities in Poland. Aleksander is one of 10 mighty trees that have survived to this day, despite many attempts to cut them down. These trees remember the times when famous Poles, such as Aleksander Fredro, Wincenty Pol, or Seweryn Goszczyński, used to visit here. On the initiative of the Cultural Association "Dębina" in 1999, several oaks were conserved, and in 2000, the Municipal Council recognized 10 old trees, including Aleksander, as natural monuments. Also on the initiative of "Dębina" in 2003, several trees were given names. The Aleksander oak refers to the playwright Aleksander Fredro (his sister married Count Jabłonowski, the owner of the Krościenko manor in the 19th century). Fredro used to visit her. Perhaps the idea for "Zemsta" (The Revenge) was born under the oak tree bearing his name. Source and more: http://www.debina.webd.pl/dab_aleksander.html
