The beautiful Carp Valley also has a dark side. On the trail leading to the ponds of the Przeręb farm in Zator, tourists encounter a surprising sight. A dilapidated structure and outbuildings belonging to the Inland Fisheries Institute in Olsztyn and its subordinate Fisheries Experimental Station in Zator emerge from the trees. The facility and its neglected surroundings mar the beautiful surroundings. It also has interesting features, such as a bus with a trailer, the popular "cucumber," and interesting items lying in storage.

In 2023, the Volunteer Fire Department in Polanka Wielka celebrated its 125th anniversary. Murals on fire department buildings have become popular. Today I caught them red-handed – the gentlemen were working on a mural. I received permission to share their image at work. I tried, however, not to reveal too many details (face).

Haller Park The park was laid out on an irregular plan, resembling an elongated rectangle. The park consists of three sections separated by masses of greenery: the western section with the former manor house (the interior of the former inn), the central section with the former orchard and garden (currently farmland), and the eastern section with the Haller chapel-mausoleum. The park's trees are primarily deciduous. Lindens are the most numerous, with acacias, hornbeams, oaks, and birches less common. Conifers include larches, arborvitaes, and cypresses. The oldest, aged 150 to 200, grow around the chapel and the former manor house. Among the shrubs, elderberry and white dogwood are the most common. The park paths are partially obscured or barely legible. The surviving elements of the former buildings include the manor house – now a residential building; the significantly rebuilt granary – now a public building; and a single-story building from the early 19th century. In the 19th century, it was thoroughly rebuilt into a kindergarten and a chapel – the Haller mausoleum. https://oswiecimtusiedzieje.pl/26

The landscape park with the Haller family chapel and mausoleum is located within the former village of Dwory, now a district of the city of Oświęcim. The park's historic composition has been preserved within the original boundaries of the manor buildings and forms a coherent whole despite later transformations. It is currently bisected by Zwycięstwa Street. In the early 19th century, the Haller family became owners of the village of Dwory. The Hallers established the park, later building the manor house, farm buildings, and a Classicist chapel-mausoleum. At the end of the 19th century, a farmstead was built opposite the park. In the 1920s, an orchard and greenhouses were established in the northern part of the complex. During World War II, the Germans expanded the farmstead, and the "Buna Werke" chemical plant was built on the manor fields. After 1945, the Haller estate was taken over by the local State Agricultural Farm. Since 1964, the manor complex has been used by the Pedigree Breeding Center in Osiek. The neglected park slowly deteriorated. Ornamental shrubs disappeared, and park paths were partially obliterated. The buildings were given to the center's employees for use. A kindergarten was established in the former granary. In 1992, the entire complex was taken over by the State Treasury's Agricultural Property Agency, and later by a local agricultural cooperative. Currently, the land, listed in the register of historical monuments, belongs to the city of Oświęcim, while the apartments in the former manor house are privately owned.
