After a wonderful bike ride, I reached the church in Pszczonów – a truly historic site, as it was the setting for the adaptation of Reymont's novel "Chłopi" (The Peasants). The interior of this church, rich in history – dating back to the 15th and 16th centuries, with numerous renovations and Baroque polychrome – gained a new dimension thanks to the film adaptation. In the 1972 film adaptation, directed by Jan Rybkowski, alongside excellent actors – Władysław Hańcza (Maciej Boryna), Ignacy Gogolewski (Antek Boryna), Emilia Krakowska (Jagna), Krystyna Królówna (Hanka) – residents of Lipce Reymontowskie, Pszczonów, and Słupia also appeared as extras. They brought costumes, props, interiors, and the dialect of bygone times – making the adaptation incredibly authentic and vivid. This is a story truly worth seeing, especially since "The Peasants" is not only one of the greatest Polish novels but also a work by Nobel laureate Reymont – full of rich literary and social context and a profound portrayal of the countryside. The film adaptation captures its spirit and the vibrant folk culture; it is a true tribute to national tradition and the life of the ancient countryside.

Roman Catholic garrison church located in Skierniewice. It belongs to the Deanery of the Air Force of the Field Ordinariate of the Polish Army. The church was built as a garrison church belonging to the Tobolsk Infantry Regiment of the Tsarist Army stationed in the city. The cornerstone for the construction of the church was laid in 1899, while the consecration took place in 1903. The construction was financially supported by officers and soldiers from Skierniewice. Tsar Nicholas II Romanov also donated a large amount. The church was built to commemorate the death of Tsar Alexander III Romanov. The building was located on a square between the barracks. Originally, it was a brick five-domed church that could accommodate 1,000 people and was visible from a great distance. In 1936, the church was rebuilt into a garrison Roman Catholic church according to the design of Jan Łukasik.

The current brick temple was founded by priest Paweł Kosicki from Zakrzew, prelate of Łowicz. It was built in 1777, i.e. in the late Baroque style. It is not known who the actual builder of the temple is. The design of the building comes from Rome. The church was finished and decorated by priest Maciej Dąbkowski around 1824. The building was consecrated on October 17, 1824, the ceremony was led by bishop Daniel Ostrowski, suffragan of Łowicz. This event is commemorated by a plaque embedded in the wall of the temple, preserved to this day, with a Latin inscription (placed on the right side above the chapel in the presbytery).

The reservoir on the Skierniewka (Łupia) River is already visible on maps of Skierniewice from the 15th century. Initially, the reservoir was located near the village of Dęba, which was later incorporated into the city of Skierniewice. It was practically untouched by humans until the second half of the 20th century. It was not until the 1970s that its lower section was excavated near Zadębie Street and the Zadębie district. As part of the reservoir's renovation carried out in the years 1996-1999, the current reservoir bowl was shaped.
