We weren't sure what to expect—and we were thrilled. Running along a river couldn't be more beautiful or varied. And the best part: on a sunny Friday in April, we had everything to ourselves, including the lovely benches. A must-do if you're in the area, top 🔝🔝🔝

If it really is "much quieter" today, I don't want to imagine what it was like before. The picturesque old stone bridge groans heavily under the traffic. Nevertheless, it's absolutely worth crossing; the river views on both sides are fantastic, and numerous waterfowl, especially herons, are undisturbed by the traffic. There are a few cafes and pubs around the bridge.
