This house of God located here is not – as is usually the case – dedicated to one of the many people we venerate as saints, or to the Mother of God Mary or her Son. Instead, it bears an event as its patronage title, namely the TRANSFIGURATION (called "Verklärung Christi" or "Verklärung des Herrn" in German-speaking areas). The three synoptic Gospels, i.e. all evangelists except John, report on this in the Bible: Mark (Chapter 9), Luke (Chapter 9), Matthew (Chapter 17). In a work aid from the Bible Society, the event of the Transfiguration / Verklärung is summarized in the following two sentences: => "In the middle of everyday life, three disciples have an Easter experience with Jesus: They see Jesus in mysterious light, and Moses and Elijah talk with him. Thus, the disciples are revealed Jesus' deepest identity as God's 'beloved Son.'" This event, testified three times in the New Testament, is located on Mount Tabor in Israel. A basilica was erected there in commemoration (see https://www.komoot.de/highlight/266239 ), which can thus be considered the original church for the patronage of this house of God here – in the Czech town of Tabor.

If you follow the red sign from the Breda junction towards Příběnice, there are rocks on both banks along Lužnice. So that tourists do not have to climb over the coastal rocks, a tunnel was built under the Bred mill and a walkway was placed over the river a little further around the Příběnická rock. The walkway has been in use here since 1914, but the flood of 2002 severely damaged the suspended walkway. But today, after the repair, it is completely safe.

The temple built in late Gothic style from the 15th and 16th centuries. The shell of the temple building was completed on the outside by Renaissance gables. The Gothic tower grew with a Renaissance corridor. Architect Josef Mocker tried to restore the medieval form of the temple building by modifying it in the Gothic spirit.

The exposition takes the visitor through ten halls, from the origins of the Hussite movement to the evolution of historical memory of Hussitism in the 19th and 20th centuries. Children will appreciate that the key terms are explained using comic panels. They can expect secret drawers and small doors with tasks or funny scenes in peepholes within the exposition. They can try to wear a chain mail shirt and to sit on a royal throne. The exposition is barrier-free to facilitate wheelchair users and visually challenged people can borrow a special guide text in Braille.
