So called Splitska vrata (eng. The gates of Split) is an extrordinary place where Šolta island meets Brač island, whith only few hunred meters of separation. Breathtaking view, undescribable scenery, and the peace an otherwise wild and vivid nature offers while observing hundreds of small and big vessels traversing the channel every few minutes. Last 100 meters is hard to traverse (no solid path - beware of snakes!), but it's worth every bit of sweat. Sunny day recommended for optimal experience.

In this section on the island of Brač you will find three old submarine bunkers from Tito's times. All are also accessible from land. The bunkers served primarily as protection against air raids and not as permanent submarine bases.
