Thanks to its location, Primosten has always been well-protected. To access the island, one first had to lower a drawbridge. This circumstance made a city gate in its usual form unnecessary. Nevertheless, the residents wanted to build a beautiful gate, so they decided to build it in the middle of town. Today, many small shops and restaurants line the city gate.

Mala Raduca beach is located on one of the largest bays in Primosten. The popular beach is mostly made of pebbles and the entrance into the sea is gently sloping. A small promenade with various stalls is located directly on the beach. Restaurants and cafes are also just a short walk away and invite you to take a siesta.
