The Gothic Kapelica Marije Snježne (the Chapel of Mary of the Snows) is a beautiful sight on Medvednica's eastern slopes. It was built in 1829 and features paintings by Ivan Tomljanović of folk scenes from the Čučerje region. It occupies an enviable spot at the foot of Stranžnjec.

Cool place situated on the Medvednica transversal (trail No. 1), 40 minutes away from Lipa. The highlight is called "Alojzije Stepinac" beacuse of the statue, but the name of the place is actually "Ročičeva sjenokoša". The trail from Marija Snježna to here might be a bit overgrown and muddy... But it gets better
