Gail's Trail is one of the longest in this forest. It's multi-use and popular with mountain bikers, so be mindful of other trail users. Due to its length it crosses many other roads and trails in the area, so it can be looped in a multitude of ways, or hiked as an out and back.

Boggs Mountain Demonstration State Forest was created in order to implement good practices regarding forests management. After a massive clear cut in 1950, this forest was reopened for recreational purposes such as camping and hiking.
