Smashing lake to the west of Cleburne. Patrick Cleburne was a Confederate General, originally Irish, he was at the battle of Shiloh and died at Franklin. The city is also named after him.

Cool park south of Fort Worth. includes the 116-acre, spring-fed Cedar Lake that was created by construction of an earthen dam by the Civilian Conservation Corps. The dam is really impressive and visually striking - a great spot to stop for a drink. The park also has a beach.

A great coffee stop if you're out riding in the Mansfield area. Loads of outside space for bikes and good sandwiches too.
