An Argentona
September 15, 2026, Camí de Ca l'Amigó to Sant Jeroni de la Murtra

This short stretch is not just an MTB track: it is part of the old access roads to Sant Jeroni de la Murtra, used for centuries to connect the monastery with the surrounding farmhouses and fields. Today it is barely 800 meters of fast and very rewarding downhill track, but it ends practically at the gates of a 15th-century monastery that housed kings, nobles, and figures linked to the court of the Catholic Monarchs. A good stretch to enjoy, but especially on weekends, remember that here the bicycle shares the path with a lot of history... and with quite a few hikers.

A fortified settlement dating back to the 6th century BC, it controlled the entire Besòs region from a narrow, windswept ridge. It was an important center for the Laietani until its abandonment in the 2nd century BC, when Roman pressure altered the territorial organization. The streets, the rows of houses, and the watchtower that once commanded the valleys are still visible. The access is clear and well-maintained, and the final view—open to both sea and mountains—explains why they chose this spot to live and defend themselves.
