There is hardly a nicer way to approach a big city than on an old railway line, away from traffic through the countryside.

beautiful distant view from the bridge. Distracts a little from the heavy traffic. 😊

The Mollsjövägen gravel road is a hardpack forest gravel road also used by cars, but quite remote so you don't bump into a lot of them. The road runs partially through the Vättleflälls nature reserve and is as many Swedish roads lovely rolling and with beautiful views. Great for gravel bikes!

The Granåsvägen is a beautiful car free rolling and winding gravel road through the forest, connecting the town of Skårdal in the south to the town of Nödinge in the north. From the south the beginning looks like any Scandinavian hardpack car driven gravel road, but soon after the going gets a little bit more rough, when the road turns to somewhat loose gravel. It's however great riding on a gravel bike and the scenery is beautiful!
