Experience the old railway lines in a different way. The route to Skagersvik is my personal favorite.

Nice wooden path along the river. There are covered seating areas at the foot of the dam and a small fire pit in the parking lot above.

Who doesn't love a good end-of-ride snack? This simple pizza spot had outdoor seating to easily keep an eye on our bikes, and while the food was nothing to write home about, it still hit the spot!

Water stairs in Gullspang clearly visible from the bridge. The small town is unspectacular. Hikes hardly possible.

https://www.vastsverige.com/gullspang Trelansbanan - Norra banan At the exit from Gullspång you enter the old railway bridge over the Gullspångsälven. You pass the Laxtrappan, which was built into the old rapids channel to allow the Gullspångs salmon to migrate up and spawn. The tour then continues past Löksta gård and with the country road between us and Gullspångsälven the trail crosses the border from Västergötland to Värmland. About 13 km from Gullspång is Värmland's Säby Herrgård. After a few kilometers is Konsterud. There is a rest area here. The route continues through the jungle to Nysund. This is the highest point on the route. The old water horse from the steam locomotive era and an old track attendant's house have been preserved here. The journey continues via Stormossen, a beautiful wilderness rest area at Mosstorp (approx. 30 km from Gullspång). The next rest area is at Håkanbol. There is the possibility of a coffee break at Löfbergs Handelsmuseum, which offers a coffee service in summer. Passing the artificially created Håkanbolsjön through very beautiful nature you pass the ranger huts of Mobråten and Älgåsen and after Högberg train station and Högbergskärret you reach the terminus in Ängebäck, a few kilometers outside the center of Degerfors.
