on the entire route we had 800 meters in altitude. But there were never any steep climbs to contend with. The Col de Chalamont shows how high the plateau is (sometimes more, sometimes less).

Rochanon = etymologically: "water rock". This is really a highlight! A bench in front of the bridge. The rounded rock on the mountain side with the Madonna. The rock needle on the valley side, where I discovered stalagmites, which are probably the remains of a "stalactite cave" from the area knocked out for the road. There was almost no water due to the drought of the last few weeks. The road/path from Bolandoz is really recommended - nice to drive and then such a feast for the eyes.
