Overall, the tour of the slag heap is very smooth, great for gravel and easily doable by mountain bike.

One of my favorite strips. Be careful in the bends. Too fast and you're in the fields, but too slow and you come to a complete standstill.

The Hautois woods are a pleasant place for a walk, especially around its pond.

South of Carvin, a slag heap stands in a wooded environment where it is pleasant to cycle. Be careful, the paths can become muddy in case of rain.

Very nice outing usually but not great here: the singles are full of ruts and still very muddy and poorly (or not) maintained: too many brambles and nettles…. And I’m not talking about the puncture….

Be careful, there are two chains to go around which can get mixed up with the gravel. See the last photo.
