Also this part has some nice passages with small bridges and tunnels. You’ve got eyes short to see all the beauty around you.

El Mallol is a strategically located village, on a hilltop, from where the entire valley can be admired. There was a castle, the first references of which date back to 1204. The village was the administrative centre of the Viscounty of Bas. The earthquake of the 15th century damaged the castle and today only a few stones remain.

Religious building facing west and located at the highest point of the Sobremunt mountain range (957 meters above sea level). It was erected in 1407, under the patronage of Saint Lucia and St. Quiteria.[1] It is surrounded by a stone wall and is accessed through a porch with a rounded vault. Above the portal, there is a stone engraving and the date 1720, the year in which it was completely renovated.[1] The Bell Tower is a tower with a hipped roof and the bell is preserved. The chapel is completely renovated and a large millstone forms the altar. In the left corner there is a body formed by three successive extensions. On the lintel of the portal it reads: SANTA LLUCIA ORA PRO NOBIS YEAR 1718

Together with the Collada de Collfred they are the great ports in the area in terms of hardness. The port of Bracons has 2 completely different aspects. The best is the eastern slope, but I recommend facing both at some point in your life. - The eastern slope, which starts from the Vall d'en Bas, is 8 km long, the last 7 km at an average of 9%. The final kms are the hardest and most constant at 10%. The panoramic views of the Vall d'en Bas are continuous. It's a door! - The west slope, which starts from Torelló, is very irregular with the first 14km with a continuous up and down, where you gain height little by little. From this point, starting from Sant Andreu de la Volta, the slope rises radically, leaving 5km ahead on average at 7%, with a full km at 10%. I leave you the link with the altimetry of the port by @cyclingcols --> http://www.cyclingcols.com/col/Bracons
