Apparently they're going to be rebuilt at some point in the future at an estimated cost of ยฃ220k. ๐ Typical local council shenanigans... Don't make the structure safe or put a fence around it... Spend quarter of a million quid to build a new replica. ๐คก

This wetland reserve consists of newly created reed beds and ponds on the River Erewash, It's part of a larger area managed area, much of which is over the river and managed by Derbyshire Wildlife Trust as their Erewash Meadows Nature Reserve Aldercar is an important site for breeding and wintering wildfowl and wading birds.
