Well paved climb/descent to the north of Belfast. Great views of the Antrim hills from the top.

This is a challenging climb along a tarmacked road with a gradual 6% gradient. The road snakes towards the Knockagh Monument, a war memorial perched atop Knockagh Hill. Located at 1,230 feet (390 m) above sea level, the memorial has wonderful views over Belfast. The tall basalt obelisk is the largest war memorial in Northern Ireland.

Brilliant views across Carrickfergus to the Left to Belfast to the right and across Belfast Lough to Holywood, Crawfordsburn and Bangor. Good place for a sunset spin, even better for a sunrise spin.
