Ampfield Woods is approximately 381 hectares and managed by the Forestry Commission. The wood is a mix of ancient woodland and a plantation. This is a lovely peaceful place for a walk in the woods.

Apart from the stream at the W end of this section (bunny hop for some or a quick lift across), this is nice flowing singletrack in either direction. There are a few roots but it's fine on a gravel bike or even a hybrid.
