Shortly beyond this point, the road becomes gravel with a lot of flint, so gravel tyres would be safer. Thankfully our road tyres survived. The gravel road then becomes a very narrow byway path. Be prepared to "hike-a-bike".

Sign posted as a Bridleway, but it’s beautiful tarmac all the way, bar the section to go through the pedestrian gate. The surface is better than most of the roads in the area. Personally, think it’s best ridden east to west as there is a steep ramp at the gate house on western end of the drive.

The Emporium is a great shop with a coffee and everything you deserve after a ride. Great food and great staff. So much better than the other coffee shop in Overton. Give it a try

The Queen Inn in Dummer, great atmosphere, lovely food, and if you don’t manage to stop here, you would’ve missed out on one of Hampshire’s traditional, character pubs.

This is technically a road with no through traffic but cyclists can pass through easily. The road has smooth tarmac and beautiful views of the rape seed fields in summer. One of the prettiest roads around.

Located in a former paper mill in the Hampshire countryside, the Bombay Sapphire Distillery allows gin fans the opportunity to discover how the gin is made, along with the company's sustainability and conservation commitments. Book in advance for tours, tastings and gin cocktail masterclasses.
