Oborniki-Stobnica bike path

Highlight (Segment) • Cycleway

In December 2018 asphalt bicycle path between Oborniki and Stobnica was opened to public. It replaced old railroad. Historical railroad connection Slonawy (Oborniki) - Wronki was first used in 1910. Because of different factors the connection became unimportant and with low passengers flow in eighties. After the end of passengers transfers in 1992, the connection still was used for cargo transfers till year 2000. In 2008 rails were disassembled.

Oborniki–Stobnica Bike Path

Highlight • Cycleway

Well-paved, wide cycle path. Partly on an old railway embankment.

Tragic surface. It's supposed to be gravel, but it's so undulating that driving on it is torture. There is a washboard along the entire width of the road, there is no place to escape. I recommend avoiding this road!

Biała Droga in the Noteć Forest

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

This is another part of "Biała Droga" - the perfect gravel road in Puszcza Notecka. This section is very often skipped by cyclists who go directly to or from Oborniki. It has a very nice gravel surface, a bit harder than on the main section of "Biała Droga". If you continue to the road by the Wełna river and then to Kowanowo, you can easilly bypass Oborniki and their crappy cycle paths while going to Poznań.

Mariusz
June 28, 2025, Mushroom Educational Trail, Puszcza Notecka

I went to this place on purpose thinking that there would be more of it than in the photos posted by one of the users of this portal and I will not regret it. Well, I got there, and unfortunately I was disappointed. I will not even mention the access road itself, where it was impossible to drive through the sandy terrain at all and you had to change your route, driving around either on asphalt or paved with cobblestones (stones). It is difficult to call this place a park, it is far from it. Let's say that it is an ordinary forest with plastic mushrooms placed thanks to the initiative of the local community. Some of them (the larger ones) are impressive, but there is nothing special. A nice idea were the houses made in the theme of mushrooms-toadstools, which you can enter. The statue of a deer placed in the middle of the hill so that it looks out at the surrounding area made the biggest impression on me. Quite a nice effect. There are benches under a roof on the spot, you can rest. There are waste bins, the area is quite well-kept. The only downside is the two toilet cubicles available for public use, as of June 2025 I do not recommend even going there, there is a risk of radiation (that's how I felt and quickly lost my appetite for everything). :P If you are going with children, there are a few swings nearby. When driving by, you can drop in for a moment, but to go there specifically, I repeat - I do not recommend it.
