Cafe provides excellent food at reasonable prices. Plenty of outside seats and bike racks. Only 1 toilet so expect to que. Well worth a stop on your ride.

Short but fast and swooping descent and climb. Hit it hard coming southbound into Castle Bytham and stay in the big ring to power up the gradient past the village sign.

Nice country pub with range of ales. Tables out front and plenty of space for bikes. Open all day but lunchtime food ends at 1430. Traditional pub grub. BUT they do have chicken wings as a small plate or starter. Good humoured staff as well. Good stopping point.
