The Castle of Collalto is an ancient medieval manor founded in the 12th century by the noble family of the Counts of Collalto. Strategically positioned on a hill overlooking the Piave plain, the castle soon became the hub of a vast and powerful feud. Over the centuries, the structure transformed from a military fortress into a splendid noble residence, enriched with works of art including frescoes by Pordenone. Unfortunately, its crucial position on the front line during World War I led to its almost total destruction under bombardment. Today, of the glorious original complex, the evocative ruins remain, dominated by the imposing 12th-century master tower, the defensive walls, and the nearby church of San Giorgio, which bear witness to the millennial charm of one of the most important historical sites in the Marca Trevigiana.

Located on the summit of Colle di Giano, the Castle of Conegliano is the historical emblem of the city and a privileged sentinel over the Venetian plain. Of the ancient medieval complex, the strategic heart of the village since the 12th century, the Bell Tower stands out today, the only surviving element along with part of the walls and the Guard Tower. Inside, the Civic Museum houses a precious collection ranging from archaeological finds to important pictorial works. From the top of the tower, the view is breathtaking: on clear days, the gaze sweeps from the rooftops of the historic center, adorned by the frescoed facades of via XX Settembre, to the crests of the Prealps and the Prosecco vineyards. Reachable via charming cobbled streets or staircases immersed in greenery, the castle is not just a monument, but a meeting place where history blends with the beauty of the Treviso landscape.

Ponte della Priula is a dynamic hamlet in the municipality of Susegana, located on the left bank of the Piave river. The name of the locality derives from the noble Venetian family of the Priuli, who in the past owned vast estates and villas in this strategic area. Born as a crucial crossing point where ancient Roman roads intersected, today the hamlet is an important residential and commercial center of the Marca Trevigiana. Its modern development is inextricably linked to the presence of the bridge, but the inhabited center also offers places of interest such as the Votive Temple, dedicated to the fallen of the Great War, and natural areas along the riverbanks, frequented for walks and outdoor activities in a landscape that blends wartime history and river nature.

The "La Tradotta" cycle-pedestrian path winds for about 20 kilometers in the province of Treviso, following the old military railway line used during the Great War between Montebelluna and Susegana. This flat and protected route crosses the municipalities of Montello, offering a total immersion between nature and historical memory. The path is ideal for families and cycle tourists thanks to the absence of slopes and the safety of the route, which allows you to observe old recovered railway houses and valuable agricultural landscapes. Today it represents a fundamental green corridor that connects the historical heritage of the Piave river with the natural beauty of the hills of Treviso.

A few kilometers were enough for the route to begin to tell its story. The creaking wood of a long bridge accompanied us towards one of the most silent and memory-laden places: the cemetery of the Burci. Amidst the still water and the vegetation that now reclaims every space, the wrecks of old boats emerge like forgotten thoughts, suspended between past and present. There time seems to slow down, almost to stop, and we too, for a moment, truly stop pedaling...

The first section on the Montebelluna side and the last on the Nervesa side, the rest is a bit boring and dusty.

The "La Tradotta" cycle path is a charming 20-kilometer cycle-pedestrian route that follows the path of the old Montebelluna-Susegana military railway. Inaugurated during the Great War to transport troops and supplies to the Piave front, it is now a green corridor that crosses the municipalities of Montebelluna, Volpago del Montello, Nervesa della Battaglia, and Arcade. The route is characterized by a flat and safe surface, ideal for families, and winds at the foot of the southern slope of Montello. Along the way, you can admire the former railway stations that have been converted and numerous monuments that celebrate the historical memory of the territory. Immersed in a relaxing rural landscape, the path offers several shaded rest stops, strategically connecting to other nature trails in the Treviso area.
