Rather unknown pass, although it has already hosted the Giro. The small road has hardly any significant car traffic and is fantastic for cycling.

This stretch of cycle path has been reclaimed and made safe since the end of July 2024; from the lock to the junction with the state road, the cycle path is finally passable.

This section is marked as a steep climb, but it is impassable. The ground no longer exists, washed away by the rain, the black geotextile placed under the gravel is exposed. The sleepers placed to drain water on the path seem to me like guardrails embedded upside down in the ground. There is no grip for the wheels, even if I had had the legs. But it is also dangerous to trip over them. It should rather be closed, fixed, and then reopened. It is not enough to put up a "steep climb" sign (it's not clear from the photos, but it really is).

the floors of Caregno are certainly a panacea, if you are climbing, the right time to recover a little with a truly unique setting
