In the 17th century, the Carmelites arrived in the mountains of the Desierto de las Palmas, where they built a monastery, including Fray Antonio de Jesús María, a well-known scholar and connoisseur of aromatic herbs. Stills were installed in the monastery's cellars and around October 15, 1896, the first bottles of our famous liqueur were launched. In 1912, the company moved to its current location in Benicàssim to improve its commercialization.
