The town of Maienfeld (GR) was recognized for its long-standing commitment to preserving and promoting the oak tree. It received the award for its pioneering communication and education project "Eichenhaft." In an original and contemporary way, the centuries-old oak grove above Maienfeld is presented to a broad audience as a valuable natural and cultural heritage.
