Super good oven-baked trout with herb butter, smoked trout pierogi are a hit. Delicious regional beer. During lunchtime, it's hard to get a table because there are so few of them (7), but it's worth the wait because the food is truly delicious and reasonably priced - trout with baked potatoes, smoked trout pierogi, 2 beers - 142 PLN - worth a try - we'll definitely be back ✌️

A very well-known spa town in the Pieniny Mountains (southern Poland). There are numerous bike and mountain bike rentals here. And the potential is enormous, whether to Slovakia via the beautiful Dunajec Gorge or to Radziejowa Mountain, which stands at 1,266 meters and offers a magnificent panorama. On the local mountain, Palenica, at 722 meters, there are accessible mountain bike descents on singletrack. You can then take the chairlift up.

Nine trunks grow from one place. The trees, in search of sunlight, have bent away from the vertical, except for one, which grows in the middle of the circle. One may suspect that it is more difficult for the trees to obtain water "in such a crowd". WW

For a tourist visiting Szczawnica for the first time, it may come as a surprise that here - in a mountainous area, practically devoid of flat places, there is a large lake. Coming closer, the surprise grows at the sight of the fish that live here, among the water lilies. Many people sit on benches placed along the shore, or watch the fish from a concrete pier equipped with a railing. In case of rain, you can walk around the lake and take shelter in the gazebo on the high bank on the side of the park chapel. WW

This year, we have a long and hot summer in Poland, everyone is looking for refreshment in their own way. If there is no water curtain, you can use the fountain. On my walking route through Szczawnica, I did not encounter a single water curtain. WW

I've known this place for many years and enjoy visiting it whenever I'm in Szczawnica. The dinners are delicious, the menu is varied, and there's no long wait after ordering. The only problem is the queue outside the entrance, which forms on summer weekends. The interior is simply furnished, especially through the paintings on the walls, harking back to a bygone era. WW

A really nice place. Anyone who likes fish and especially fresh trout is in good hands at Dobra Ryba, right on the river, there is music, you sit outside, order inside and I have rarely eaten such fresh, deliciously prepared trout.
