The Historical Presidential Palace is a Neo-baroque building in the Old Town of Kaunas, Lithuania that served as the Presidential Palace during the interwar years. Today, the palace is a branch of the M. K. Čiurlionis National Art Museum. The original palace was constructed on in 1846, when a local aristocrat received authorization to build the two-story edifice. The project featured a symmetrically designed structure with seven rooms on the first floor, and nine rooms on the second floor. Shortly afterwards the building was expanded and another portal was added. In 1866, a garden was also laid out in front of the building. Two years later, additional structures were built nearby, and the building was acquired by the Russian government as a residence for the Kovno Governor. During World War I, Kaiser Wilhelm II briefly stayed in the palace in 1915 while visiting the Eastern front.

Not Henry Wilson but Jonas Vileišis (January 3, 1872 – June 1, 1942) who was a Lithuanian politician. All the city streets were paved, horse-drawn transportation was replaced with modern bus lines, new suburbs were planned and built, and new parks and squares were established. The foundations for a social security system were laid, three new schools were built, and new public libraries, including the Vincas Kudirka library, were established. Kaunas Ohel Jaakov Choral Synagogue The only surviving and functioning synagogue in Kaunas was built in 1870 at the initiative of the first guild merchant Mr. Minkowski according to the project of the engineer Mr. Golinevičius. The synagogue is known as choral because ceremonies there are accompanied by a chorus. According to the urban planning rules in force at that time, synagogues were to be kept away from orthodox and other churches. The synagogue is a composite rectangular building with plastered masonry and a triple protruding wall facing aron codesh on the east side and three entrances on the west side. At the entrance to the synagogue, the neo-baroque pediment ends with a massive turret dome adorned with a hexagonal Star of David. In the central part of the synagogue's prayer hall is bima a skylight-lit octagonal elevation for Torah reading, enclosed by an openwork metal fence. Aron kodesh, a multi-level cupboard that holds the Torah (the Old Testament), is located at the eastern wall. The interior is decorated with plant and animal patterns typical of Jewish art, and the space is divided into a men's (main) hall and women's galleries on the second floor. It is a Neo-Baroque building of the Historicist period.

This villa was purchased by the Feinberg family as a presidential palace. The three presidents of the first republic, from 1919 to 1940, lived here. During the Soviet era, it served as a center for ideological-socialist education. Today, it houses an interesting exhibition on Lithuania's highly eventful history.
