In the middle of the dune forest of Tversted lies a thatched barn, a remnant of the Østerklit farm, with an old stock mill that has been completely preserved. It is the last functioning stock mill left in Denmark. Østerklit is open 24 hours a day, every day. Østerklit Stokmølle is on the North Sea Cycle Route (Vestkystruten) It is 560 km long, from north to south. The cycle route follows the Danish west coast. From the flat marshland in the south, across the narrow isthmus in West Jutland to the steep dunes in North Jutland - along the route you will experience great differences in landscapes. The cycle route continues here via Hirtshals through Lilleheden and Uggerby dune plantations (woodland) to Tversted.
