Great spot to run through or take 5 on one of the benches. One of my fave spots along the porter valley always pretty and tranquil, good for bird spotting or seeing the water wheel turning on the mill although that can be hit or miss I think it's going most weekends.

The beautiful carved wooden door, on a tree near Forge Dam, is the work of Sheffield City Council. The council revealed they installed the door, on an old Horse Chestnut tree in the woodland surrounding Forge Dam Park, in an effort to engage local children in woodland folklore. Generally busy with walkers at most times of the day, so don't expect to be able to smash it through here unless it's very early or late

A beautiful section of woodland along the Porter Brook. This is the steep part, taking you out of Sheffield into the peaks!
