Stromberg Castle Ruins: Only parts of the ring wall, a castle manor, and the 15th-century St. Paul's Tower remain. A coat of arms stone dating from 1564 can still be seen at the castle gate.

At the moment the tower is under scaffolding and is being renovated, but a visit to Stromberg is still worthwhile.

The Paulusturm was built in the 14th century and was the main entrance to the former Stromberg Castle. The tower is around 30 meters high and can be seen from afar. Access to the castle could be blocked by a drawbridge. Today the bells of the Holy Cross Church are in the Paulusturm. https://www.burgdorf-stromberg.de/de/kultur-geschichte/mallinckrodthaus-und-paulusturm/

It is worth visiting the castle village. There are many information boards in front of and on the buildings that tell you about the history. The plum blossom season is a particular highlight.
