A trendy snack bar run by a friendly Greek family. The gyros plate in particular is outstanding and worth a trip.

New territory defines and enriches the tour to the Felderbacher Alm; only the initial section via the Schwarzbach trail through the strikingly red-illuminated Wichlinghauser Tunnel, the Nordbahn trail, and the Bergisches Plateau might seem more familiar had we been more attentive in 2023 (https://www.komoot.com/de-de/collection/1425756/-g-k-baerenstarke-touren). However, we stumbled upon the blue hour when we passed the Wichern Chapel almost unnoticed. Currently, this extraordinary place of worship is firmly on our itinerary; the short break is a must: "Find peace... light a candle!"

Unfortunately, the clock no longer works and the building is getting more and more run down. A real shame!

Peter Held, alias Husch Husch, was born in Wuppertal in 1896. He was a well-known Wuppertal peddler and vagabond. His trademark was the margarine carton with which he traveled through the city and from which he offered his small goods for sale. Peter Held from Wuppertal was a well-known Wuppertal peddler and vagabond who sold small goods from his yellow margarine carton in the 1920s and 30s. He got the name "Husch Husch" from children who teased him on the way and to whom he responded loudly with wild gesticulations of his stick. Despite (perhaps also because of) his stubborn and grumpy nature, he was popular with the people of Wuppertal. He made no secret of his strong dislike of the Nazi regime and the law enforcement officers of the time, even though it often proved to be his downfall.
