The mill itself is private. But the area around the mill, including the stone bridge, is very beautiful.

Beautiful path from Klein Wachau through the Seifersdorfer Valley.

The Grundmühle is a former watermill in the Radeberg district of Liegau-Augustusbad. One of its former names was Lochmühle (as recently as 1830). It is located on the right bank of the Große Röder River, at the edge of Saxony's oldest landscape garden, the Seifersdorfer Tal Nature Reserve. A little gimmick: If you stop for a moment on the southern bank of the Röder River, you can admire a beautiful sculpture called "The Thinker" – a homage to Rodin's Thinker.

It's a shame that so much is destroyed,

The bridge has various names: * "Laura's Bridge" -> referring to, among others, "Laura's Monument," which is located not far from here on "Laura's Meadow" * formerly also "Black Bridge" (interesting because the bridge is painted white in its current state ;-))

The Seifersdorf Valley in its current state is a kind of hidden object game: relics of a bygone era (Romanticism) that reference an even older era (Antiquity). Only a few remaining relics can be found that have survived the decades of decay. The "Place of Reconciliation" is thematically related to "Lorenzo's Grave" (https://www.komoot.com/de-de/highlight/4410888, almost next door; see also the comments there).

A lonely witness to the valley's former splendor. The associated "temple" has unfortunately long since vanished :-(
