Argal Reservoir is a popular fishing area, known as one of the best in the South West. It is also a popular area for walking and is overlooked by Mabe Church. There is a café at the reservoir plus public toilets, but swimming and watersports are not permitted.

Excellent cafe. Stopped here in late May 2022 doing WKW. Food was delicious. Definitely highly recommended.

We stopped here on the last day of our West Kernow Way adventure. Another rain storm was coming in, we were exhausted and tired. We were also covered in mud. The cafe staff were super welcoming despite our appearance. The food was exactly what we needed, healthy, nutritious and the cakes were to die for. Rupert and Julia had the Dahl whilst I opted for a turmeric latte and toast. Would 100% recommend stopping here.

What a brilliant cafe just north of Constantine, and right on the West Kernow Way bikepacking route. Expect delicious coffee and generous brunches, catering for all tastes. The breakfast hash and vegan hash both come highly recommended!
