The water temperature ranges between 20 and 25°C. The water in the reservoir remains clean and free of algae throughout the season. Picturesque corners of the Vranov Reservoir—the "Moravian Adriatic" (as it is also called)—attract thousands of visitors from the Czech Republic and abroad every year. The reservoir's water volume is approximately 150 million cubic meters. The reservoir's total length is 30 km; the deepest point (46 meters) is located directly at the wall, and near the village of Bítov, it is about 30 meters deep. The reservoir covers an area of 763 hectares and lies at an altitude of 351 meters above sea level.
