The Old Town Hall - the monument is located near the center of Toruń's Old Town Market Square. In 1997, it was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The inner courtyard (with interesting "figurines" on the windows). Inside the Town Hall, you can admire, among others, the Gothic Art Gallery. There is also the Burgher Hall with a gallery of portraits of prominent Toruń burghers (16th–18th century), where you can admire the portrait of Nicolaus Copernicus – arguably the most famous image of the astronomer in the world, the Royal Hall with the country's oldest Pocztem Królów Polskich (Gallery of Polish Kings), the Gallery of Polish Painting from the end of the 18th century to 2010. It includes works by Jan Matejko, Olga Boznańska, Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz, Jacek Malczewski, Julian Fałat, Tadeusz Kantor, Andrzej Wróblewski, and Zdzisław Beksiński.

Today, few people remember or know about Toruń's Gallows Hill - originally called Galgenberg, later Wiesiołki or Galgus. This elevation existed until the 1960s. At that time, it was leveled and the indoor swimming pool of the Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic Schools Complex that still exists today was built there. For centuries, Galgenberg was the famous Toruń place of execution. This is where the gallows stood, where the sentences of the Toruń court were executed on people sentenced to a shameful death by hanging. The location of the city gallows was not accidental. They were usually placed on the road by which travelers came to the city. This was also the case here - the gallows on Galgenberg were visible from afar to those traveling along the Chełmno route from the north. This view was a warning and was supposed to act as a preventive measure. In addition to the gallows, the top of the hill, which of course was not covered by trees, was "decorated" with tall posts, where wheels were attached - tools of an exceptionally cruel punishment, which was meted out to particularly dangerous criminals. source: https://toruntour.pl/5654/wiesiolki-gora-szubieniczna

"Góry Zajęcze" often mistakenly called "Piekarskie Góry" is a forested dune area, a sandy elevation (8 m relative height) currently a city park, which is overgrown with coniferous trees that like dry dune soils. On the other hand, "Piekarskie Góry", or rather Piekarska Góra, German Beckersberg, Bäckerberg - is an area covering a leveled dune elevation on Bydgoskie Przedmieście in Toruń. This area stretches from Kraszewskiego Street to Słowackiego Street in the north-south line and from Matejki Street to Sienkiewicza Street in the east-west line. The elevation was leveled before 1832, as part of the expansion of the Toruń Fortress. The name comes from the bakery ovens that belonged to bakers living on Piekary Street at that time. The ovens were moved in modern times to protect the Old Town from fires. source: https://toruntour.pl/5645/zajecze-gory-torun-piekarskie-gory
