It's located between the Ripoll River and the industrial park. There are good trails around the old castle, both for walking and mountain biking.

The Molinet bridge that we know today is a wide winding road over the Besòs river, which connects the neighborhood of Bon Pastor with the neighboring town of Santa Coloma de Gramenet. The name comes from an old mill that was on the Gramene side of the river. Curiously, until January 1945 the course of the Besòs did not separate Barcelona from Santa Coloma. Powerful downpours in the 15th century diverted the riverbed, but the geographical limits of the old municipal terms of Sant Martí de Provençals, Sant Andreu de Palomar and Santa Coloma de Gramenet were not altered. This last town came to have territory on both sides of the river, just like Sant Adrià de Besòs today. On the western bank of the Besòs, which currently belongs to Barcelona, the fields of Torrassa, Estadella and Barri Vermell were not developed until 1918 and the Cheap Houses were not built until ten years later. At the end of 1944, the Barcelona City Council acquired the lands of Santa Coloma that remained in its possession for one million pesetas, a payment that also included the right to extract aggregates from the river bed. This has been the last annexation of land that Barcelona has experienced since the time of the aggregation of the old municipalities of the plan. The residents of the Bon Pastor neighborhood communicated with Sant Andreu through Carrer Sant Adrià. To do it with Santa Coloma, everything was more complicated since the town councils disagreed on the issue of building a bridge. The only passage was actually a footbridge over the river built of planks and timbers in a most archaic and simple manner. A man was periodically responsible for putting in and taking out the planks. Most of the users tipped him every time they stopped by. But on rainy days, when the Besòs was too full, this solution of the planks was not possible and without the footbridge in service it was necessary to walk a few kilometers to the Santa Coloma bridge to cross the river. The Molinet footbridge also allowed all the workers who, on one side of the river or the other, went daily to work in the numerous factories and industries in the area. This situation lasted well into the 1970s. The current Molinet bridge was not inaugurated until 1978.

Electrical "mess" near the San Adria de Besos train station. Probably related to the closed cogeneration plant nearby...

An impressive meeting of old architecture, modern city architecture and the rest of nature (mouth of the Riu Besos).

At the mouth of the Riu Besos, old industry, modern urban architecture and a piece of nature come together. Impressive!
