You can always go hiking here and you can't get lost. A beautiful area with a surprisingly large number of animals along the edges.

We had a fantastic hike through the Buxtehude moors. We saw many deer, herons, birds of prey, as well as horses and cattle. Great hiking trails wind through beautiful nature 💚 and are also suitable for cycling. The longest route here is about 12 km. You can easily customize your route. There were many airplanes in the sky, and the railway runs right through the moor, but there was no noise pollution. At least, we didn't experience any. The 12 km route is now on our list for next year's bike ride. This moor is quite different from the High Moor near Oldendorf. We also enjoyed a very pleasant morning walk in sunshine 🌞 and sunshine ❄️.

Jork is a highly recommended place in the Altes Land region. The old thatched-roof houses, some of which have been beautifully renovated, are a sight to behold. Many fruit growers have their farms in Jork and sell their produce at roadside stalls. Some of them also have farm cafés and host various events. Every year, Jork hosts the Butterkuchen Run, with the proceeds going to charity. Each participant receives a certificate and plenty of butterkuchen and apples. The run isn't just for adults; children with their parents and dog owners with their pets also take part. There are staggered start times to prevent overcrowding. Walkers are also welcome at this event. Jork offers many other enjoyable events as well. A visit is highly recommended and interesting! 👍🏼

On Sundays when shops are open, the town of Buxtehude is very lively and worth seeing. Many small shops offer their products. A small art market is located in the town center and is very popular and well-attended. A visit is highly recommended 👍🏼.
