The half-timbered church in Luckow (Vorpommern-Greifswald) was built between 1724 and 1726 as a Baroque wood and clay structure. Since 1996, a comprehensive restoration has brought the historic charm of the interior back to life. The simple yet elegant design, with its polygonal eastern end, half-timbered tower, and two-story entrance porch, characterizes the exterior. Inside, there is a flat-roofed hall, a pulpit altar, two oil paintings of old pastors, and a votive ship from the time the church was built – the oldest of its kind in Eastern Germany. The church enjoys an idyllic and tranquil setting, nestled in the Western Pomerania landscape – an ideal spot for a short rest or photo stop during a tour around Ueckermünde or into the Ueckermünde Heath.
