A large, man-made waterfall on the Dalälven River. Famous for salmon fishing - but it's a very impressive sight in its own right. Very noisy!

Walk the little forest path here to emerge onto a lovely picnic spot (with picnic benches!) for some peace, quiet and a good amount of blue water marvelling!

A very charming village with several old houses. You can also walk straight to the lake.

I'd like to give you a tip for the trail: the hike from Österfärnebro to Gysinge is challenging. You'll need hiking boots, and the trail leads through swampy terrain, where it can be quite wet. A hiking pole and long pants also helped us a lot... and mosquito repellent. ☺️ The return trip along the road is not recommended for hikers with dogs or children. It's a very long walk there and back from the Schwedenpause campsite.
