Today, only the Romanesque choir remains from this period; the remaining parts come from the numerous later renovations and new buildings. Broye Canal The Broye has its origins in the Fribourg Prealps. After flowing through the cantons of Fribourg and Vaud, it flows into Lake Murten in Salavaux. On the other side of the lake, the Broye flows out again in the form of an artificial canal.
