The canyon lies in a special protection zone of the Haanja Nature Park and is the only canyon valley in Estonia. The Enni River has carved out a 15-20 m deep and 300 m long cut from the Devonian sandstone. On the steep slopes of the V-shaped valley, there is an outcrop of white or yellowish sandstone over a circumference of almost 200 m in the form of 5-6 m high vertical walls and cliffs. Fallen trees, a small spring cave and a path that quickly narrows are typical. On the map it looks as if you could do a circular route, but that is not recommended because, despite mosquito repellent spray, the insects at the end of the wooden walkway become really annoying.
