The Purschenstein Bird Wedding came about by chance. Professor Gerd Kaden from Neuhausen was offered a roughly 200-year-old spruce tree from the Rabenau Valley. He designed the figures of the Bird Wedding from this single trunk. Since 2008, the ensemble has stood in the center of the village and, with Purschenstein Castle in the background, is one of Neuhausen's most popular photo subjects. https://neuhausen.de/purschensteiner-vogelhochzeit/
