The Lehnstedt parish belongs to the Mellingen-Umpferstedt parish with the parish seat in Mellingen. About a third of the 350 residents are community members. The church is closed outside of regular services. The Lehnstedt women meet monthly for a women's circle. There is a choir and weekly children's church.
