In the middle of the 17th century, the inn located on a trade route and the farm belonging to the Rabis manor were first mentioned in a document. From 1850 onwards, the guesthouse "Luftschiff" existed here, which quickly became a popular excursion destination. After a fire in 1905, the restaurant was rebuilt and existed in this form until 1970. It subsequently came into the possession of the Carl Zeiss company, which had the guesthouse demolished in 1974. https://www.literaturland-thueringen.de/artikel/novalis-wanderweg-rundweg-von-drackendorf-nach-schloeben/burg-rabis-ehemaliges-luftschiff/

"The Zinsspeicher (Zinc Storehouse) is the last remaining outbuilding of the former monastery complex. Until 1945, it was used as a barn and stable for the Thalbürgel estate. After 1945, it housed a machine and tractor station (MTS), a grain and electrical storage facility, and served as a school workshop. In 1992, our museum was established on the upper floors of the building." 📜https://www.museum-zinsspeicher-thalbuergel.de/Museum/

The first mention of a chapel in present-day Kleinlöbichau can be found in a document from 1353. This chapel had apparently fallen into disrepair by the 17th century. During the Duchy of Saxe-Jena (1672-1690), the then Duke Bernhard had the present church in Kleinlöbichau built within a few weeks in 1675, presumably as a token of thanks for the birth of his son. The building materials came from the dilapidated Thalbürgel Abbey, as can still be seen today. The church was consecrated on October 17, 1675, in the presence of the Duke. Later, the town of Kleinlöbichau belonged to the Grand Duchy of Saxe-Weimar for a long time, while Großlöbichau, although closer to Weimar, belonged to the Duchy of Saxe-Altenburg.
