Shortly before Zähringen on the edge of the forest, before the old Altheimer Weg leads down into the Hirschen valley, stands this stone penance cross. By size and shape, presumably from the 15th/16th century. According to tradition, two shepherds are said to have stabbed each other to death at this spot – whether because of a girl or grazing rights, is not handed down.
