Good view of Burk Castle, but the view of the valley and the Saale River is somewhat overgrown. However, you can only see the castle behind the high-voltage power lines, which makes it a poor photo spot.

The inn is highly recommended. Excellent cuisine. The chef cooks, and the hostess lovingly looks after the guests' well-being. A very good breakfast is served at your table, starting as early as 6:30 a.m. during the week.

This ingenious path winds its way high above the Saale and now offers great views due to the lack of spruce trees

The manor owner Karl Wilhelm Wetzel had the chapel built after a successful eye operation. He wrote: “I had this chapel built so that believers could find comfort and hope in it, in memory of the relief from a serious eye operation.”

First of all, the pictures are a bit mixed up, for whatever reason. 🤔 We didn't really know what to expect. Bridge over the Wisenta river, several steep steps up the stairs 🫣 😶🌫️🥵, then a nice trail even if it wasn't very long. Great for hikes. A bike for crazy people like us.

Nice home-style restaurant. There is really good food here, at a good price. Friendly staff. We were driving when we had lunch here.
