Unfortunately, I found the large church closed (on weekdays). However, there's a lovely bench in front of the church, and the old gravestones and crosses around the church are worth exploring.

It's a bit annoying to cycle there, but you can take a break at either end of the forest and enjoy beautiful views over the fields. It takes about five minutes to cycle through the forest. After that, the route becomes more pleasant again.
